  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a sales/business development leadership position


  • Demonstrated excellent track record within B2B sales
  • Experience with B2B2C sales
  • Experience working with Customer Success team to increase end-user adoption and upsell additional products
  • Ability to sell to all types of business; from large multinational corporations, traditional enterprises and tech start-ups
  • Ability to work with remote teams across time zones, to develop strategies and foster a cohesive and creative work environment

We’re looking for an exceptional Global Head of Business Development with strong leadership skills who will make AURA’s global vision a reality. This is a global role and the successful candidate can be based in either South Africa, Netherlands or the UK.

The Global Head of Business Development will be required to build a world-class sales function with refined channel partnerships. We’re looking for a hands-on, brilliant sales leader to take full ownership of revenue growth and drive new business and best practice across all regions that AURA operates in.


You are a leader with experience in hiring, managing, and developing your team. You love dealing with prospects and seeing a deal over the line. You have a clear understanding of sales processes and strategies and have a global network which can be leveraged to grow revenue across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, lead and manage the global Business Development function
  • Identify, qualify, and win new business opportunities and ensure that top line revenue targets are defined, owned and achieved
  • Work closely with AURA’s CEO in opening and closing global opportunities
  • Assist in validating revenue opportunities in new potential markets
  • Build, define and adapt sales strategies and processes
  • Build and maintain a robust qualified pipeline of opportunities that align with AURA’s vision
  • Forecast opportunities on a continuous basis
  • Assess the competitive landscape; lead the development and implementation of differentiated win strategies
  • Provide thorough and accurate insight into the strategic initiatives of prospects and effectively communicate the value of AURA in their organization
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to interact with senior leadership and executives
  • Prepare, attend and generating leads from events, trade shows along and networking
  • Understand AURA’s financial levers to determine pricing and positioning
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to generate and convert inbound leads
