A recent Carbon Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) completed by leading Sustainability Reporting business, Neutral Carbon Zone, has confirmed that AURA’s alarm response solution produces 45% fewer carbon emissions compared to traditional keyholding and alarm response networks.
The 2025 assessment revealed that Aura’s average emissions per callout are just 4.00 kgCO₂e, significantly lower than the 7.28 kgCO₂e benchmark from conventional providers. This dramatic reduction is attributed to AURA’s intelligent ‘many-to-one’ service model, which replaces the traditional ‘one supplier to one site’ approach. Using an advanced ringing algorithm, the AURA system dispatches the nearest available on-duty officer, slashing journey times and reducing unnecessary mileage.
“When you scale this across thousands of callouts per year, the emissions savings are enormous,” said Alex Booth, Managing Director of AURA UK. “It’s proof that smarter delivery can directly support a lower-carbon future.”
Alongside emission reductions, the report also generated detailed metrics, such as “kgCO₂e per £ spend” and “kgCO₂e per callout,” providing AURA and its clients with valuable benchmarks to communicate sustainability performance. These insights are especially relevant as UK regulations around emissions disclosure continue to tighten, and the ability to meet ever growing social value factors within tenders for large contracts becomes increasingly important.
“Using AURA means you get the fastest alarm response solution in the UK, but you also get the additional benefit of knowing the emissions being produced within your own supply chain are as low as they can be, “ said Adrian Meredith, Commercial Director at AURA UK.
While the results are positive, AURA is committed to continuous improvement. AURA is now Silver certified under the Neutral Carbon Zone framework but looking towards Gold status as the quality of data tracking improves across the supply chain.
